Ask your local travel agent about international flights to Sardinia, Italy. Cagliari has an international airport at Elmas, just outside the city. There may not be direct flights from where you live, so make your destination Rome; since Cagliari is only a 50 minute flight away.

There are Italian airline companies, Air One, Meridiana, Volare and Alitalia that have regularly scheduled flights to Sardinia from most major cities in Europe.

If you consider travelling to Sardinia from the mainland by ferry or hydrofoil, expect a trip that might last 8 hours. There are scheduled ferry trips from Genoa, Napoli, Palermo, Civitavecchia and Trapani. Pula is only 30 km from Cagliari.
